The staff at Broadbean gives generously to a variety of charities via fundraising and sponsorship.
Fundraising
Climb a mountain, walk a mile, or grow a moustache, our staff do all they can in the name of charity.
Our mascot Bean Man ran the London Marathon once upon a time. Our UK girls, including a pregnant employee, have participated in the Race for Life, raising money for Cancer Research in a good time. Folks in Marketing have done tandem biking from London to Brighton. Bean Dawn Benefiel is a three-year breast cancer survivor, so we came up with the name “Bra-Bean” and spent a day putting together our entry to support Breast Cancer Awareness with a furry pink bra and panty two-piece.
Our team always turns out to support these efforts and there is nothing better for us than giving to our community and helping the disadvantaged: it makes our time at Broadbean even more rewarding.
Notably, in 2011, we held a Red Nose Fundraiser, with office Olympics, beard shaving, chilli sauce endurance, and a heck of a lot of money raised for kids in Africa. It makes being an employee all the more worthwhile. And as an employer, it makes us utterly proud of our staff.
Sponsorship
We sponsor the Diamond Draw each year at the annual APSCo (Association of Professional Staffing Companies) Charity Fundraiser. The money raised goes to APSCo's designated beneficiary with past charities including the NSPCC and Childline. We try and help where we can, that’s the type of company Broadbean is.
We also sponsor industry poker tournaments and community softball games for charities like Save the Children and Breast Cancer Awareness. All in a Bean's work.
